Junnie | People Services Specialist

As a mom, Junnie understands how difficult it is to find a trustworthy helper or nanny. Especially one that her daughter feels comfortable with. Before working with SNN she used to be a designer, then moved to brand managing and product development for children’s knitwear. When Junnie has free time, she enjoys exercising, going for walks, and cooking. She thoroughly enjoys helping out with SNN tasks and finding nannies for the families. She is passionate about helping parents find good support!

Dr. Lindsay | Nanny Doctor

For years, Dr. Lindsay Heller has provided guidance and support to families all over the world in regards to their relationship with their nanny. As a former nanny of ten years, licensed clinical psychologist and now a mother that employs a nanny, Lindsay knows the ins and outs of the nanny world like no other. There isn’t anything she hasn’t seen!

Dr. Heller offers an extremely valuable service in that she helps families who already have nannies solve issues and concerns that may be causing tension in the home. As an outside objective third party, Lindsay is able to assess the situation from all angles and provide a specific solution to the needs of the families seeking her help. While The Nanny Doctor is not a nanny agency, she collaborates with agencies all over the world. Seattle Nanny Network clients receive one hour of a free consultation with Dr. Heller as part of our commitment to assisting each family to troubleshoot nanny issues and reduce employee turnover. Lindsay is based in Beverly Hills, California but her services are available worldwide. She works with families in her Beverly Hills office, in private homes, board rooms, on the set, or over the phone/Skype.

Chelsea | Sr. Partner Relations Specialist

Seattle Nanny Network is proud to partner with HomePay to simplify the HR aspects of being a household employer (payroll processing, tax filing, and labor law compliance). As the nation’s leading household employment specialists since 1992, their team of experts provides helpful guidance for our clients. Shelene | Employee Engagement and Development

Shelene is our Employee Engagement and Development with 10 years of experience in the childcare field. She previously worked in large facilities as an Infant room lead teacher. She has her 30-hour MERIT training as well as many more required by the Washington State Department of Children, Youth and Families. She has also worked as a domestic worker, prior to joining Seattle Nanny Network in August of 2019. As a Washington State Native, Shelene has much love for the Pacific Northwest. Her passions include spending time outdoors, writing, and spending time with her friends and family.

Sara | Talent Procurement and Performance Management
Sara’s energy and positivity are infectious. Anyone who has the opportunity to work with her knows she has a “get it done, and always with a smile” outlook.  Sara joined the team in 2019 and her work ethic, along with her two decades of customer service in the corporate arena are evident.  Sara also is a former business owner herself, and she says “My intuition and my previous customer service experience [are my strengths].  I enjoy the flexibility and the autonomy [of this job]. I also enjoy learning more about the nanny business [and] giving the best possible customer service to each person.”
Miss Holly | Backup Care Team Member

“I excel when it comes to childcare. I have cared for children all my life and it has always been a passion of mine. I am a smart and resourceful person who ranges broadly when it comes to childcare experience as I have volunteered in classrooms where I am working with many students and have also spent time caring for infants, toddlers, and teenagers alike. I am an excellent cook who values nutrition and is knowledgeable about healthy foods. I have volunteered at Summer camps and worked with kids of all ages for many years. I love children and believe I find more balance in my life working with them” says Miss Holly.

Miss Ivey | Backup Care Team Member

Miss Ivey has been a favorite part-time member of our backup care team since joining in 2019.  She is currently obtaining her Masters in Informational Science from the University of Washington Seattle and has a BA in Information Studies from the University of Oklahoma.

“I have been a Nanny for 11 years. I have worked with families for three or more years with 1-4 kids at a time ranging in ages 1-14 years old. I have also worked for summer camps with elementary and high school students. I get along with everyone because I have patience, an open-mind, and I am very understanding. I am in school so I am able to assist with anything school-related like homework, projects, and field trips.” Additional experience includes training in Minors on Campus, Counseling, and Emergency Respondents. Former teaching assistant and tutor for ages 6-17.

Miss Isabel | Backup Care Team Member & Placed Nanny

“I had such peace of mind, I never worried, I never had to think that she was ignoring my child. I went to work knowing that my child was in the best care, in my home.  I would hire her again and refer her to anyone” says a former employer about Miss Isabel.  She is a career nanny with many years working in homes and has been a beloved and often requested member of our team since 2006.  She is remarkably consistent and has always demonstrated strong loyalty and dedication.

Isabel is renowned for her creativity and energy and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Miss Jennifer | Backup Care Team Member & Virtual Nanny
I believe a good nanny does not just care for children but is emotionally invested in the well-being of the children and the family. I feel very confident in my ability to teach through factual knowledge and hands-on learning as well as through unspoken methods such as making responsible decisions and being a good role model. I believe that my background in teaching at The Kids Science Labs really sets me apart. This program emphasized hands-on learning through discovery and endless methods of developing critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and innovative thinking. In that way, I think I can be a wonderful asset to the development of a child’s natural curiosities.

Jen has a Bachelor of Science from college at Brockport State University of New York, SUNY Child Protection Policy Training, and has experience as a nanny, tutor, preschool teacher, residential camp counselor, and basketball coach.

Miss Kate | Backup Care Team Member & Placed Nanny

“What sets me apart from any other candidate is the willingness to grow in every aspect of my life.   I am a fast learner and quick to adapt to different surroundings or situations. I am loving and patient, proven through my work with the elderly. I have had a role as a nanny/household manager for eight years and from that, I have learned to be a team player, and to be able to make quick decisions at a moment’s notice and stay calm during a storm.”

Kate has been a member of our backup caregiver team as well as having worked with one of our long-term clients as their full-time nanny for premature infant twins, who she cared for through their most crucial early years of development.  Kate’s background in nursing and home health care were particularly useful in this role.  Kate holds an associate of arts from Montgomery College and is a certified nursing assistant (CNA).

Miss Linnea | Placed In-Home Educator

“Linnea demonstrated, from her first day with us, a great love of children. She has become an integral part of our children’s lives. She takes care of household tasks to keep our home running smoothly as well as caring for the children and teaching them age-appropriate skills. She is well organized, efficient, and trustworthy” says a former employer.

Prior to joining our team, Linnea has been employed since 2003 as a professional nanny for several families. She has extensive house management experience and once worked for a family with eight children; she was responsible for the youngest four. Prior to becoming a nanny, she owned and operated her own licensed daycare, and raised three children of her own.

Miss Jackie | Backup Care Team Member

“I believe my degree and almost 9 years of childcare experience sets me apart. I’ve learned the different issues and struggles families deal with and I want my knowledge in human development and family studies to be used to help support an individual family the best way possible.

Working in group care for many years, I learned about the different personalities of children and the best way to handle strong emotions, what the most supportive tools are to support their emotional/social/physical development. I have worked with many different families and understand that one parenting style won’t work for another, I am there for support not to pass judgment.”

Jackie holds a Bachelor of Science from Warner Pacific University and is a former pre-school teacher, infant teacher, nanny, volunteer, and youth coach.

Miss Rebekah | Backup Care Team Member
“I coached a team of 17 middle school girls (ages 10 to 14) in volleyball which taught me a lot about how children learn, and how to lead them effectively.  Overall, I love working with children because I learn just as much from them as they do from me. I’m passionate about being a stable and loving presence, who can also be a teacher of things like music, baking, help with homework, the outdoors, and games. I work hard to set a good example of generosity and compassion, and have fun while doing so!”

Miss Rebekah worked in a daycare with up to 11 infants at a time, worked in the athletic dept of a private school for two years, and has four years of in-home child-care experience.  She studied Psychology, English, and Writing at Western Washington University. A former employer told us “she is a hard worker and is continually looking to do an excellent job. She is not lazy nor does she short for the bare minimum.”

Mr Irungu | Placed In-Home Educator
“He is easy going, fun to be with, and relates well with a wide spectrum of personalities. He is good about including all of the kids and naturally creates an environment where kids feel welcome and safe.  You won’t see John waiting for kids to people to approach him. John engages people in a friendly, non-intrusive way. Not everyone can do that” says a reference for youth group ministries.

Mr. Irungu is currently employed as a long-term in-home educator to two school-age children.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Northwest University where he represented the school as captain of the soccer team.

Miss Iris | Backup Care Team Member

“She will care for them physically, emotionally, and intellectually and is especially gifted with the early years from infancy to primary school age.  My kids felt loved, where curious, creative, and comfortable with the consistency and care that she provided”

Miss Iris says “something that sets me apart from other candidates is that I have 14 years of experience taking care of children. I also have teaching experience, and love to teach Spanish to the children in my care.”

Experience also includes working with children with physical and developmental disabilities including having been the nanny for a child with cerebral palsy.

Miss Paula | Backup Care Team Member
“I see the nanny as a service role.  I provide the service of childcare.  However, since we are working with children, I am also a teacher and at times, a friend.  I love to show children new things about the world, such as that the sun goes around the earth in one year and that the first bird looked like a small dinosaur.  I enjoy bringing out their artistic side, too with art, music, and dance”

Prior to joining our team in 2015, Paula was an academic preschool teacher for ages infant to three.  She also worked as a professional nanny, and as a corporate backup care nanny to over one hundred families prior to joining our team.

Paula holds her Masters’s from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Rochester. Most recently she has completed the WA state Dept of Children, Youth, and Families 30 hours of Early Childhood Education (MERIT) training.

Kiersten | Director Community Engagement and Market Trends

Kiersten recently returned to the company after becoming a Mom to twin boys.  As a former nanny and veteran of retail management leading a team of over 100, Kiersten brings critical organizational management and analytical skills to the team.  She rose to the role of Director of Operations before becoming a mother herself and is one of the most beloved members of our team.

Kiersten says “I like to help educate the families in my community with their childcare questions as it can be extremely overwhelming. I also really enjoy analyzing the childcare market/trends so I am able to offer the most relevant and up to date information.  I have worked in childcare and I am also a proud parent of twins- this allows me to relate to both roles. Also, my ability to be empathetic, my dedication, and my shared passion for what Seattle Nanny Network does to help families and nannies.”

Ha | Financial Director

Ha has been in the Seattle area for many years now. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends and exploring restaurants in the Seattle Metropolitan area.

Kelly | Director of Operations and Education
“I have served families and childcare providers for many years and I truly understand the needs of these people to the highest degree.  I also enjoy the therapy portion of working with clients and nannies too, being able to help in tough situations is gratifying.”

Kelly formerly managed five large child care facilities in Snohomish county, serving up to 250 children daily.  She has been with our team for just over two years and was recently promoted to Director of Operations.  Past experience includes serving as owner and operator of an in-home daycare exclusively serving families of the Dept of Defense.

Kelly holds a Master’s Degree in Early Education and Administration and is a MERIT certified trainer through the Dept of Children, Youth and Families of WA state.

Emily | Founder & Policy Advocate for Child Care Consumers and Workers Rights
“No two children or families are alike, and the humanity behind the work we do is what I find most gratifying.  Helping to solve child care concerns through legislation, corporations, and individuals has been an immense privilege.  This is an exciting time to be part of an industry that has historically been overlooked and undervalued. The importance of quality and accessible child care to a functioning society and economy has never been more evident.  I am so proud of our team, and the example we have set for standards in the workplace.”
Ava | Client Account Manager

“I have always enjoyed helping people. I have a gift for identifying a client’s needs and am dedicated to creating the full customer experience. As a mother of three and having been a nanny myself, I understand the delicate relationship that exists between a nanny and family and value creating and fostering those relationships. I have accomplished many milestones in life, but consider motherhood my greatest accomplishment. I carry some of the same lessons and values from my parenting into my daily work and it has served me well”

Ava has over 20+ years in public facing roles with relationship building at their core, from corporate retail positions to real estate. As the newest member of our team, she brings a sharp wit and energy that lifts the mood of any meeting she participates in.
